Textbooks and Courses:
I haven't bought any textbooks yet because I will not have the money to do so until next week; some of the books listed have CDs that come with them. I'm hoping that when I go to the actual class, the professors will say "We actually will not be using the CDs this semester" because that would cut down the price significantly.

Here is my course schedule:

ACCT 2102 Accounting Principles II (3.00 hrs)
MW 03:30pm-04:45pm

MKTG 4175 International Marketing Strategies (3.00 hrs)
TR 12:30pm-01:45pm

MUSC 1105 Music & Civilization (2.00 hrs)
MW 11:00am-11:50am

PSYC 1101 Intro to General Psychology (3.00 hrs)
TR 09:30am-10:45am

SPAN 4450 Spanish Civilization (3.00 hrs)
MWF 09:00am-09:50am

SPAN 4500 Seminar in Contemporary Latin American Culture (3.00 hrs)
TR 03:30pm-04:45pm

Also, I have yet to buy something for my computer to steal wireless Internet, so I've been using Ian's computer. He's sexy.

PS, I'm really out of shape.

Your best friend's parents are leaving, leaving:
I think the BEST thing about being home again is laughing really, really hard again.

It's the kind of laugh that makes me cough before or after, and it's the kind of laugh where I'm laughing so hard that I cannot stand up so I have to sit down on the closest chair... or just drop down and sit on the floor if a chair is not close by.

I laughed a lot while abroad, but never hard. It's the quality that counts, not the quantity ;)

In other news, I slept in today for no reason which means this day sucks already. I hate sleeping in when I have no need for extra sleep.

He is now no more a Death Eater than I am:
Jacked from Mrs. Harry Potter [info]irrevokable:

Your result for The Harry Potter Husband Test...

Mrs. Snape

Your perfect HP man is Severus Snape.

You like a guy of loyalty and intelligence and don't really mind if he comes across as a bit harsh. Or a bit bastardy. Or if he happens to terrify every child who crosses his path. The point is that under that rough exterior lies...well, a rough interior. But under that is a soft, squishy center and you don't mind at all that you're the only person in the world who gets to see it.

Take The Harry Potter Husband Test at HelloQuizzy

Meh, I suppose this makes sense because Severus Snape is my favorite JK Rowling/Harry Potter character for serious. I saw the trailer for The Half-Blood Prince, and I'm really stoked because that was my favorite book out of the series. Before the first part of The Deathly Hallows comes out in theaters, I want to re-read all the Harry Potter books... but in Spanish ;)

I also thought the Watchman trailer looked super cool, but I've never read the graphic novel. Ian has, though, and he seems to be excited about it. It comes out on our fifth anniversary. Gross.

I never saw Ironman, but I think it's in the dollar theater now, and I'd much rather rent and watch a movie on a regular TV than go to the dollar theater anymore. Gross. Actually, I still haven't seen a lot of movies that came out this summer.

But The Dark Knight was pretty awesome :)

Believe it or not this is a plan of action:
I think breakfast sausage is the only food I cannot stand. It tastes disgusting. I keep giving it a chance, but I regret it every single time.

Classes start on August 20th, but after re-reading a notice GCSU sent out, I realized they aren't cutting me an actual financial aid check until August 27th (but fees and tuition are due on August 8th). That is retarded, but do you want to know what's even more retarded? The financial aid will be available starting August 15th to use at the GCSU PawPrints Bookstore only.

So, basically they're forcing me to buy my books at the bookstore. In past years, I had money from working over the summer to buy my books from Amazon or Half.Com, but it's different this year. If I'm lucky, maybe GCSU will still send me that $150 HOPE check. It's not enough to buy all of my books, but at least I could get a couple of the more important ones bought and ready to go for class on Wednesday.

I feel like an angry letter ought to be written (not just an e-mail), but I don't know where to start. Ugh, whatever.

We like who we like, we hate who we hate:
Sometimes I feel like there's not enough time in my youth to accomplish all I want to do...

...then I remember I'm only twenty-one, so that makes me feel a little better. However, I can't keep saying "I'm only ____-years-old" because if I do, then the time I have in my youth will run out.

I hate the fan in the family room; when the fan is off, it's too hot, but when it's on, it's too cold. I'm too short to pull the itty bitty cord to make the fan slow down.

The guy who said this is insane (like, voluntary crucifixion insane), but I agree completely with the following statement:

It's better to be hated for who you are than loved for who you're not.
Sebastian Horsley

Of course, it's preferably that people love you for who you are, haha.

One week ago, I left Spain to come home, but it feels like I've been home for longer. I have a lot of little things on my mind - mostly familiar and academic.
